FirestateFirestate formed Summer 2011 when members Carlos & Ash (ex-Karnuba) and Martin & Chris (ex-Switch 60) decided they wanted to collaborate on a new project that would take them all back to their rock roots. After a couple of rehearsals the first few songs were already taking shape and the guys realised they had found the Firestate sound. When the time came to find a singer suited to complete the Firestate sound there was only one name that came to mind which is where Lewis came into the picture.
Lewis was already well known for fronting his main band (The After Affect) but after hearing the music Lewis confirmed he was keen to be a part of the Firestate sound aswell so the line up was finally complete. Firestate draw their influences from a wide spectrum from Funk to Metal, some of the main influences have come from the likes of Incubus, Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro & Stone Sour, to name a few.
The first EP is being released in January 2012, which Firestate have written, recorded and produced themselves. There is already a lot of buzz starting to surround the band and they have already picked up a clothing endorsement, movie score & songs on a soundtrack for an upcoming director and support from international bands.
So expect big things to come from Firestate throughout 2012
