The After Affect was born when a group of close friends heavily influenced by bands such as While She Sleeps, Architects & Deaf Havana just to name a few, began sharing ideas musically. Despite having no particular blueprint from the beginning the band have now developed a sound they are happy with and have a good local following gained from their persistent energetic shows and well developed sound.

After a long elimination process of competitive heats the band went on to gain the title of Readings Battle of the Bands winners 2010.

The After Affect have also now recorded their debut single “A Thousand Voices”, which is due for release winter 2011 accompanied by a music video
Having now shared stages with Shadows Chasing Ghosts, Memphis May Fire, The Colour Moral & Dream on, Dreamer they have also headlined the Live Club stage at Guilfest 2011. They have also had airplay on Newbury Sound and Blast FM and BBC Berkshire! Following on from this the band have now gone on to win one of the unsigned talent competitions on BBC Introducing, judged by Linda Serck - BBCIntroducing, Sean Hunt - Sub 89 and Sanjay Limbachya – Raw Linx.
