Review by Craig:
This is the first Kanye West album I have bought and listened to, and I have to say it didn’t disappoint me too much - the only thing I didn’t like was the intro and short interludes. I feel these don’t really need to be on the album. However, besides this the songs are truly amazing, and wow! what a mix of talent was available to Kanye West on this album. We have the likes of Adam Levine (Maroon 5), Jay-Z, Brandy, The Game and who cannot forget the truly talented Jamie Foxx. Tracks I totally enjoyed were “Gold Digger”, with Foxx, an old classic thanks to that musical genius Ray Charles, “Diamonds From Sierra Leone” with Jay-Z which features a sample of “Diamonds Are Forever” performed by Shirley Bassey, and “Gone” which features Consequence and Cam’Ron, this track contains a sample of “It’s Too Late” by the legendary Otis Redding. I really enjoyed this different album and will look out for more from Kanye West.
