Review by Craig:

“Here’s To You” is Just Jinjer’s 3rd album and wow! what a collaboration of mind blowing music. I really enjoyed this album and once again cannot do anything but praise these hard working Saffa’s for producing such wonderful music - guys, keep rocking and keep the music real. Listening to this album you wonder why people in the UK have not heard of Just Jinjer’s and you also seem to wonder why such a talented band are not in the spotlight - all they need is one big break, and I think it’s just around the corner for this band. It all starts off slow with a few guitar strings being strummed and Art’s voice breaks in soft and gentle before the first song explodes into action. One of my favourite tracks has to be “Go Away” – it’s nothing too over the top but the words are powerful. You have it all - guitars, drums, harmonica and even piano on this 13 track work of Art…. Cannot wait to get my hands on their next piece of work.

Review by Dan:

This is the critically acclaimed 3rd album from South Africa’s Just Jinjer’s, and it shows Art Matthews and his crew developing into a source of enjoyable music. Lead singer Matthews, at times looking like Adam Duritz and sounding like Eddie Vedder, continues to produce original material that is worth spending some time with, and I for one will be in the crowd when they’re next in London. The title track, “Here’s To You!” begins like something Blur would write, continuing into a bouncy song that warrants the addition of the exclamation mark. I also enjoyed the intro to “Many Things”, an excellent foot-tapper of a song, but “Truly Faithful” is my favourite, upbeat drums and a harmonica accompanied guitar solo makes you think ‘hey, cool tune’. Good honest rock music.
