Review by Craig:

This has got to be one of the most interesting albums I have heard in a very long time. Some catchy tunes and some very original material. Goldenhorse are an unknown Kiwi band with a lot of spirit and energy. I would love to hear more from this band in the future. Their vocalist Kirsten Morelle has got an amazing voice. Good luck to them and I can only hope they get some international exposure.

Review by Dan:

Debut long player from New Zealand’s Goldenhorse kicks off with the bouncy opening, "Northern Lights", which immediately showcases the angelic, almost childlike vocals of Kirsten Morelle. "Spice Islands" possesses guitars with a mildly oriental twang, “Out Tonight” has a rhythm conjuring up images of a sun kissed Caribbean island archipelago, and I enjoyed the suggestive trumpets in the ska influenced “Baby’s Been Bad”. However, my pick would be the strumming foot tapper that is “Maybe Tomorrow”, with the moody, majestic title track pushed into a close second. Goldenhorse display a much deeper understanding of music with this absorbing offering - one of the best albums I have bought in the last 12 months.
