2003 Kerrang! "Best New Band" winners, Funeral For A Friend really deserved that award, and what better way to start your debut album off than opening track “Rookie Of The Year”. I bet this Welsh quintet didn’t think that when they put this album together the Kerrang award would result…. Funeral For A Friend have to be one of the finds of 2003, and they've continued to grow from strength to strength. “Casually Dressed & Deep In Conversation” is truly an amazing album. It has a quality combination of hardcore rock sounds, with the breakthrough singles “She Drove Me To Daytime TV” and “Juneau”. It’s rather hard to pick one track that stands out so I am not going to do so – I’ll let the listeners decide.
