Review by Dan:

The first song I heard by Fall Out Boy was “Sugar I’m Going Down” which is a really great song. It’s one that sat in my mind for ages, going round and round. So I went out and purchased this album. It’s not bad but it took me several listens to get in to. My first impression was that it was the same as all the other bands that America has been churning out. I guess the tone and sounds are similar, the lead singer has quite a distinctive voice but it’s not quite enough to stop them just blending in and not standing out from the rest. The tracks on the album are individual with a good mix of stuff. The two that stand out for me are “Dance Dance” and the aforementioned “Sugar I’m Going Down” – I’m not sure why they caught my attention but they did stay with me. After a few times of playing it I can honestly say that it's a good album and worth a place in your collection but you have to give it time.
