Daniel Powter
Artist: Daniel Powter
Album Released: August, 2005
Review by Craig:
This is the debut album from Canadian singer/songwriter Daniel Powter, and it’s totally mind blowing. Having read some background information about Daniel, it’s truly remarkable that he battled with dyslexia in his childhood and had wanted to become a classical violinist. I find this album rather uplifting as the songs show that we all have a “Bad Day” and that we're all normal, no-one is perfect. The songs are a mix of soft rock and pop which I found very soothing. The opening 4 tracks really show off this album, but I am afraid the final few tend to fall away, which is a pity as I really enjoyed this album. Let’s hope Daniel's next offering holds the listeners attention throughout.
