Review by Craig:

This is the debut album from one of the hottest new bands to hit the South African music market. This 5 piece hail from Johannesburg and called themselves “Cassette” after tapes.…because tapes are cool… Well I have to say that Cassette have a cool sound, or to be more accurate, a more refreshing sound than all that is currently out there on the music scene. I have to say that I rather enjoyed the track “All The World”, it sounds a bit Coldplayish but then it moves into its own space and has an incredible aftertaste. Its catchy and it sticks in your head (or is it just that I have a soft spot for a great sound being played on the piano), with tranquil voices that could easily put you to sleep - mmmm maybe.. Another track that stands out for me is the more upbeat “Tracy”, with its hard hitting drums and thundering guitars. The whole album brings you a different feeling as you schmooze through the tracks, not knowing what to expect next. I have to say that I kinda have a soft spot for this album and I hope these guys produce another quality album soon.
