Lazy Dog Volume 2
Artist: Ben Watt
Album Released: June, 2002
Review by Dan:
Ben Watt progressed from his days as 50% of the excellent Everything But The Girl to DJ alongside Jay Hannan in a number of venues, including The End nightclub just off New Oxford Street, London. Their Lazy Dog session at The End is one of the best club nights I've been to. This album is my favourite example of relaxed deep house music, exquisitely mixed together and providing over 70 minutes of pure funk. It's an album that I've put on at home in the background when people have come round, and after just a few songs you can see people's feet tapping or their heads nodding gently in time with the beats. An important and thoroughly enjoyable addition to your collection. Volume One's not bad either.
